Girls & Boys Age: 6 to 8

An hour of fun by all, this gives the youngest members of our Scout family a chance to see what lies ahead as they join one of the largest families in the world for all ages. From craft work to day camps is what the Beaver Scout sections at 1st Pontefract Scout Centre has to offer.  Getting in at our Beaver Scout section gaurantees you a place in the very popular Cub Scout & Scout nights without joining a waiting list. We now take girls and is showing to be popular with the more robust type of young person who enjoys climbing, running, and having fun.

Our Current Beaver Scout night meets each Wednesday during school term, with a New Beaver Scout night planned for Easter 2006 to meet on a Tuesdays. So if you are interested in joining the team, and would like to know more about what is involved don't delay please get in touch with our Group Scout Leader by e-mail or phone the centre to arrange an for an informal chat

Meet Hedley the Barn Owl, the Beavers did!

Our thanks to Fields Pet supplies at Baghill  for bringing along Hedley. The barn owl was great and very tame, but hands off he might bite!

All the Beaver Scouts where asked to do a drawing of Hedley that Chris took back with her to shop where Headly lives, why not drop in and say hello if your in the area.

New Beaver Scouts should first come along and give it a try for a few weeks before buying a uniform.

So when do we meet: You have a choice of either Tuesday or Wednesday evenings

Baden Beaver Scouts meet on Wednesdays

Beavers Powell

Powell Beaver Scouts will meet on Tuesdays from Easter 2006. We are now taking names.

 

 

Group Camp @ Hesley Woods

What a brilliant day out for the the Beaver Section as they met up with the rest of the group at our Group Camp in Hesley Woods. We played games and and mixed with all the other section in the group. The picture below shows some of the Beavers being taken round the Cub & Scout camp. The day was finished of with a traditional scout camp fire.
